Trip to Sweden – Sustainability for businesses
Andrea Falcetelli (CEO) and Michela Falcetelli (IMS Manager) talk about the experience they had in the last few days of the study trip organized by Confindustria Ancona in Sweden.
The visits began with the Forsmark Nuclear Power Plant, a power plant that produces around 20-25 TWh of energy annually, incredible to think that it is equivalent to a sixth of Sweden's energy consumption! The Tour continued with a visit to Volvo Construction Equipment in Eskilstuna, a plant covering a total area of over 66,000 m2 specialized in the production of transmissions and axles for wheel loaders and articulated dump trucks, followed by a visit to the Munktell Volvo Museum, it houses around 200 objects representing 180 years of Swedish industrial history!
The second day ended with an interesting visit to Hogbytorp, in particular to the waste management and recycling plant of Ragn sells, a private group that operates in Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Estonia where it manages 96 storage and treatment sites waste.
“Being able to see large industries, listen to their stories and perceive their attention to such a crucial topic nowadays as that of sustainability, was an experience that enriched me greatly” says Michela.
Until the next experience to tell! Stay tuned 😉
